Dreams Really Do Come True for Pittsburgh Girl
Elizabeth and her little sister spent time with Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella on their special trip.Elizabeth is like most other four year old girls. She loves everything Disney, particularly anything involving the princesses. She has a lot of Disney movies and her favorite channel on TV is the Disney Channel. One more thing about the Disney-loving Elizabeth is that she suffers from Leukemia, a type of cancer that affects the bone marrow, which is what produces red blood cells.

American Equity Mortgage first heard about Elizabeth through the Make-A-Wish foundation after Elizabeth wished to go to Disney World to meet all of the princesses. AEM wanted to help make her dreams come true and grated her wish!

Elizabeth and her family traveled from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area to Orlando, Florida where they were greeted by a limousine. The family stayed at Give Kids the World, which is a special resort for kids just like Elizabeth. When they first arrived, Elizabeth said, “I like our new home. This is much better than our old one. I’m glad we can stay here forever!

While in Disney, not only did Elizabeth get to meet her beloved princesses, but she also toured the Magic Kingdom, saw fireworks at Cinderella’s castle, visited Animal Kingdom and then hung out with the whales at SeaWorld. The family spent their last day of vacation relaxing by the pool.

For Elizabeth and her family, this trip was a chance to forget about Leukemia and the treatments for a while and just focus on each other and the love they all share .

American Equity Mortgage is proud to have helped the Make-A-Wish foundation make Elizabeth’s wish come true.
