Shalom,
a ten year old from the Atlanta, Georgia area who suffers from a blood
disorder, has dreams of learning to play the piano and becoming famous one day.
When she was asked what her wish would be for, Shalom wished for a big, black,
shiny, kidney-shaped piano. American Equity Mortgage was there to help make
Shalom’s wish come true!
Shalom returned home from school to find a beautiful piano waiting for her in
her living room! There was also a house full of people there to help her
celebrate the wish being granted, including Anthony Williams and Chris McDonald
from AEM’s Atlanta office. Anthony commented, “We had an excellent time at the
wish celebration. It was a very humbling and gratifying experience.”
Shalom’s family was also very excited about the wish. After showering Chris and
Anthony with hugs and smiles, Shalom’s grandmother conveyed her appreciation
and respect for AEM, “It says a lot about American Equity Mortgage to be a part
of the Make-A-Wish foundation, and I will continue to pray for your
success.”
This big, kidney-shaped piano will be with Shalom forever and will be something
she can make beautiful music on whenever she wants to forget about her illness.
American Equity Mortgage is proud to have helped the Make-A-Wish foundation
make Shalom’s wish come true.
