AEM Joins Record Komen Race for the Cure in St. Louis
Over 71,000 people packed the streets of St. Louis for the 12th annual Susan G. Komen for the Cure Race on June 12.

The race was the largest in the organization’s history, breaking the previous record set in St. Louis in 2007, and raised over $3 million for Susan G. Komen.

American Equity Mortgage had over 60 team members as a part of 103.3 KLOU’s Team Julie Buck. The team gathered at Joe Buck’s Restaurant in downtown St. Louis for breakfast before heading to the race for a 5k run or walk.

“Unfortunately most of us do not have to look very far to find someone we know who has fallen victim to breast cancer or other form of cancer,” said AEM Project Manager Bob Bower. “Helping to provide funds and support to combat cancer is a very rewarding experience. AEM gives back generously to the communities it serves.”

Race for the Cure Susan G. Komen for the Cure funds grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women.
