Quality Assurance Specialist

| Position Overview |
The Quality Assurance Specialist will take lead in the timely execution of the American Equity Mortgage Quality Assurance Plan.
|
| Responsibilities |
- Assist Chief Compliance Officer in establishing QA calendar which provides for all elements of Quality Assurance Plan
- Monitor audits to ensure all elements of Quality Assurance Plan are addressed
- Review closed loans for completeness and compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines
- Ensure that borrower and loan information as presented in the loan file samples are accurate and verified
- Coordinate review of statistical sample of appraisals
- Identify appraisals which are outside of tolerance
- Identify patterns of performance: sales, operations, third parties
- Coordinate site reviews and synchronize with branch desk reviews
- Document and analyze trend lines
- Provide reports to the Chief Compliance Officer

| Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
- 3 plus years of related QA or FHA underwriting experience
- Good knowledge of the mortgage industry. FHA a plus
- Excellent mathematical and problem solving skills
- Ability to adapt to constant change
- Work with high integrity and ethical standards
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong writing skills
