American Equity Mortgage Expands into Salt Lake City

(St. Louis, Missouri - December 1, 2008) American Equity Mortgage (AEM) announced the opening of a new branch office, located in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

The Salt Lake City branch, which opened on December 1, 2008, is one of two new branches the company opened this month, along with another branch located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

"We are thrilled at the opportunity to expand into the Salt Lake area and are eager to bring our expertise in mortgage lending to help homeowners and homebuyers get to a better place," said Deanna Daughhetee, president and chief executive officer of American Equity Mortgage.

The company has continued to expand at a time when many other companies in the mortgage and banking industry are shrinking or folding. American Equity Mortgage believes that the branch will provide 14 new job opportunities in the market.

The Salt Lake City office, located at 147 W Election Road in Draper will be led by branch manager, Chad Henry.
