Storybook Ball at Heinz Field Raises Funds for RMHC

AEMAEM sponsored the 2010 Storybook Ball on November 13 at the East Club Lounge at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The event, themed "Under the Sea," was host to over 300 guests and raised over $120,000 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh.

Houses in Pittsburgh provide a home away from home for the families of sick and injured children being treated in the area. The first House in the area opened in 1979, only the seventh in the nation at the time, and since then the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh opened another House as well as several apartments.

"It was nice to hear what an impact our donations had on a family and how being able to stay at Ronald McDonald House made their children's treatments possible," said Pittsburgh Administrative Assistant Barbra Urban. "It was a good reminder of why we donate, to make a difference for families all over the country that come to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh."
