AEM Races for the Cure in Milwaukee

AEMOn September 26, AEM raced for the cure in Milwaukee, joining over 12,000 people for the 2010 Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin Race for the Cure.

The 12th annual race raised nearly $1 million dollars for the organization. Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin says that the race's earnings will go toward "directly funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education, breast cancer screening and access to treatment programs for uninsured and under-insured women in Southeast Wisconsin."

The funds also support Komen's national grants program, which helps to fund breast cancer research, awards and educational and scientific programs throughout the world.

"It was incredible to see that many people out supporting an organization like Susan G. Komen," said Stefanie Neustedter, MKE Administrative Assistant. "The race was inspiring and I'm glad that American Equity was able to continue our support of this important cause."
