Four members from the Columbus American Equity Mortgage branch played in the 25th Annual Joe Mortellaro Ronald McDonald House Golf Classic on July 18.
The foursome from AEM played at Scioto Reserve, but seven courses were used for the tournament. The Golf Classic raised $353,000 to support the mission of the Ronald McDonald House. This event is the single largest charity golf tournament in the state of Ohio.
At 80,000 square feet with 80 guest rooms, the Columbus Ronald McDonald House is the second largest in the world. Annually, 250 volunteers support the house's operational, administrative and fundraising efforts.
"It was an honor to represent American Equity Mortgage at the Ronald McDonald House golf tournament. The money raised for this great charity was phenomenal. Giving back to the community and helping the children was truly a remarkable experience," said Jason Catanella, Columbus Branch Manager.
