American Equity Mortgage was recognized as a sponsor of Stray Rescue of St. Louis' "Urban Wanderers," an art gallery being held at the Saint Louis University Museum of Art from July 16 until August 29.
The exhibition opened with a reception on July 16, which included appearances from Loretta Swit, of the hit television series, M*A*S*H*, who created some of the gallery's artwork, and Randy Grim, founder of Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
More than 40 artists created artwork of abandoned dogs or cats who have been given second chances in life thanks to the work done by Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Several pieces of art were also created by the rescued dogs and cats using their paws, tails and noses. The artwork on display at the gallery was available through a silent auction and all proceeds from the auction benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
"Seeing the things that Stray Rescue has accomplished put into art was inspiring," said Adam Manne, Sales Support, "The evening was a very unique way to raise money for such a great cause."
