AEM Supports Cardinals Care with Each Cardinal Double Play

American Equity Mortgage joined the St. Louis Cardinals to make an on-field donation to the Cardinals non-profit foundation, Cardinals Care, on June 18 at Busch Stadium.

AEM has donated $99.99 to Cardinals Care for each double play the Cardinals have turned throughout the 2010 season. Prior to the game, AEM President and CEO Deanna Daughhetee presented an on-field donation to Mike Hall, Vice President of Cardinals Care.

AEM brought 250 people to the Cardinals game against the Oakland Athletics, capping off a day of festivities at the AEM offices which included a visit from Fredbird.

The official non-profit foundation of the St. Louis Cardinals, Cardinals Care has contributed over $14 million to local Saint Louis charities that support children. Funding comes from Cardinals players, the team's ownership group, fans and most importantly local businesses including American Equity Mortgage.

"It was a great experience to go to the Cardinals game and support Cardinals Care," said Carrie Husmann, Accounting Manager. "It was an outstanding day for all of the employees at AEM."
