Ships Ahoy for Phoenix Girl as AEM Grants Her Wish!

Rachel is like most six year old girls. She loves pink, Disney princesses and watching her favorite princesses on TV. One thing that is very unique about her though is her diagnosis of Leukemia, a cancer of the blood or bone marrow.

When Rachel was told she could have a wish granted, she knew exactly what to wish for - a Disney Cruise that would have every Disney princess character aboard!

American Equity Mortgage, through AEM Cares, worked with the Make-A-Wish foundation and made Rachel's wish come true! She and her family sailed into the sunset on a fun-filled Disney Cruise! Before leaving for her trip, Rachel and her family met up with Bethann Heming, a Loan Officer in our Phoenix office, who commented, "The family was extremely excited about the opportunity to take this trip . They are delightful and will definitely stay in touch with us."

On the cruise, Rachel was able to meet all of her favorite princesses, as well as many other characters so familiar to us. More importantly, this trip gave Rachel and her family a chance to forget about her illness and just be a family for a while. Memories of this trip will last a lifetime, and it is something they will be able to remember fondly when difficult times arise in the future.
