AEM Shaves the Way to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!

American Equity Mortgage was a proud participant and sponsor of the St. Baldrick's Foundation on March 6.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer research. It funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization with the exception of the U.S. government. Since 2000, events have taken place in 24 countries and 50 US states, raising over $74 million.

Sixteen AEM team members shaved their heads to raise funds for curing children's cancer. Overall, we raised over $3,400 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation!

"I'm glad that I had the chance to be a part of St. Baldrick's this year. If it were not for my involvement with AEM I wouldn't have even been aware of the fundraiser," said Processing Work Leader Ryan Rojas. "The feeling of appreciation that I received from the crowd and families involved was overwhelming, and I will remember it for a long time. I am already looking forward to next year's event."

AEM staff had an incredible time at the 2010 St. Baldrick's event and can't wait to come back next year to continue shaving the way to conquer kids' cancer!
